We customized modules for form submissions, document downloads, and CRM capabilities on research requests. The Cloud Financial Platform allows for easy updates of content, and scalability that ended up being the perfect solution for the client.
Admirals Bank needed to implement a core set of contractor-facing functionality from their current website as a custom, co-branded microsite with their partner SunPower. Additionally, they needed to do it on a tight deadline.
The current functionality was implemented on Drupal 6, using custom modules to process input and connect to third-party APIs. With Drupal 8 looming large on the horizon, the extent of Drupal 6 support was a major factor in us recreating the necessary functionality in Drupal 7. Drupal 7 gives us a solid, proven, and well-supported base to build on. We reused what we could, reworking custom modules to reflect API changes and updates. We were able to use many contributed and core modules for the bulk of our site.
The design of the microsite provides a modern look and feel with a flat style. The website was built using a customized Drupal Bootstrap theme which allows for complete mobile support on all popular devices. We utilized the FontAwesome library for icon flexibility, content representation and ease of mouseover interaction effects. With actual photographs directly from SunPower, the homepage rotating banner sits ontop of a bright sky background. We utilized parallax scrolling throughout the homepage and secondary page banner areas wherein the backgrounds move at a different speed from the foreground, creating an added modern visual effect to the website.
Admirals Bank has shown that they can build a modern, responsive, and branded solution to work with their partners. SunPower contractors can now access the functionality they need from their desktops and mobile devices thanks to this microsite.
