RA Capital Management is a multi-stage investment manager dedicated to evidence-based investing in public and private healthcare and life science companies that are developing drugs, medical devices and diagnostics. The flexibility of its strategy allows RA Capital to provide seed funding to startups and to lead private, IPO, and follow-on financings for its portfolio companies. At RA Capital's core is its TechAtlas research division, a scientifically trained team that maps out competitive landscapes in a continual effort to put data into context, identify breakthroughs, and originate conviction in new ideas.

Throughout the project, Cloud closely collaborated with RA Capital's internal team on a number of priorities. From translating the brand into a sophisticated online design and delivering custom templates for multiple page types, to creating a method for off-site sharing to social media, Cloud delivered custom design and the cohesive look and feel that RA Capital was after. Other noteworthy accomplishments include developing a light security model for exclusive content, a cookie-based strategy to allow access on future visits, allowing advanced display control for content and multiple media types, and translating the brand for web and mobile experiences. Cloud presented the revised Information Architecture and User Experience in an interactive, fully-navigable wireframe presentation. Using photographs of the custom-made, bio-chemical glass sculptures that decorate the RA office as background images, a seamless visual experience was created for RA clients from office to web to print. Cloud's UXD team also helped to design and create unique imagery and icons to accent the most important and frequently-visited pages. Cloud was able to present RA Capital as a financial and traditionally conservative investment manager, while also highlighting their innovation with cutting-edge research and support for science-oriented startup companies.
