In 2016 Cloud Construct launched a brand new website for the Professional Bowlers Association. This allowed fans to easily interact with the PBA brand all in one place and from any device. The next logical step was to provide an even more robust experience for users who are looking to easily get live score updates, obtain player profile information, and read exciting news about events happening around the PBA. Everyone has a phone and with the amount of regional and PBA tour events happening every week avid bowler fans were looking for more ways to interact with results and news in real-time.
Native phone applications provide a crisper and cleaner user experience over responsive web applications and the PBA knew it was important to engage fans as deeply as possible wherever they are.
Cloud Construct leveraged the Microsoft Mobile API and Easy table framework to build a highly performant backend for our native mobile application. This would allow us to easily scale out should the application gain fast adoption in the industry. Secondly, this new framework would allow us to quickly add new features like client accounts and bowling center locations, as well as push updates. Secondly, a highly customized application gives the PBA native application a look of their own and a flexible framework to expand features and media. Our goal is to give bowling fans an application that they can come back to for great features, scoring updates, and the ability to watch bowling live streaming with XtraFrame.
The PBA native app is available now and can be downloaded from the ITunes store. It has some excellent interactive features and marks Cloud Construct's first native mobile application we have designed and built from front to back. We hope to build the Android version of the application soon as we continue to enhance this application and give bowling enthusiasts what they're asking for.
