As we have done numerous times across successful relationships with dozens of fast growing SAAS orientated startups, the team at Cloud tailored our design and delivery approach to 1) compliment and augment the skills of the organization in key areas that their needs were beyond the reach of their resources and 2) stay one-step ahead of engineering and development in their fast moving, build-and-launch agile delivery product roadmap—working with teams in multiple time zones and geographies. The UI designs and specifications were crafted to be as “coding ready” as possible for diverse teams of developers, and included a constant focus on usability; repeatable and repurposable patterns; and accessibility best practices. All of this provided the kind of credibility that SmartKargo required to successfully sell into the top tier network of high value clients in international airlines for commercial shipping and cargo.
Eventually the partnership came full circle back to its original introduction—in the area of technology, engineering, and software development execution. Cloud and SmartKargo partnered on their largest effort to date, a robust build out on an entirely new technology stack of a core SmartKargo solution for Emirates Delivers, an e-commerce shipping solution from Emirates SkyCargo with a focus on connecting registered consumers in their program with services that make the shipping of products purchased from the USA and UK to the UAE. In addition to the UX and visual design leadership Cloud had provided, for this program the relationship branched out to include the core technical architecture and planning for the platform, as well as engineering and development resources to work hand-in-hand with the SmartKargo team, implementing the full solution using technologies such as ASP.NET Core, React JS and Microsoft Azure (SQL Azure, Front Door, App Services, Static Web Apps, Traffic Manager, Application Insights).
