THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE

When the founders of The People Platform™ (formerly known as Epicenter Experience) approached Cloud Construct, they had a vision and plan but were looking for a UX design and technology services partner who could help them realize their vision intelligently and efficiently. The team collaborated on fleshing out the details and requirements for a first-of-its-kind, cloud-based enterprise platform that targets the “last mile” disconnect between consumers and brands. Utilizing mobile phone data and location technology, consumer patterns and engagement events are mapped and sequenced in real-time, creating powerful insights to inform customer retention and acquisition conversion outcomes.

SOLUTION & DELIVERY APPROACH

The People Platform™ utilizes a unique and persistent user identity profile that creates a strong link between individual device, location, and fixed IP address. This proprietary capability delivers unique value for enterprise clients who want to understand consumer behavior holistically and with a highly specific location based context. This cohesive view of the consumer — as they engage their daily routine — makes it far easier for The People Platform™ clients to measure the exposure, impact, and ultimately, the consideration and purchase behavior of their targeted consumers.

The Cloud team worked closely to define, quantify and prioritize the feature set for this new and disruptive offering. There are six distinct software modules working in a tightly integrated fashion to process and contextualize the business intelligence generated, all in a way that can serve over sixteen (and counting) different industry segments. A best-in-class Microsoft Azure architecture was planned and engineered, connecting all of the incoming data from various APIs into Snowflake for business intelligence processing. Cloud provided the user experience design expertise and design deliverables, partnering with The People Platform™ on the front-end development of the product and implementation of software utilities such as Mapbox for the geographic reporting and data visualizations.

PRODUCT LAUNCH & REACH

The People Platform™ successfully launched and is connecting it’s enterprise clients to over 300 million consumer devices, 15 million plus client locations, aggregating over 14 billion in visits annually. Major client brands from retail, consumer goods, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, movie theater chains and many more industry segments are on the platform, using it to optimize their advertising, customer acquisition and customer retention marketing investments. With the platform’s integration to Nielsen designated market areas (DMAs), the platform seamlessly connects and integrates with a complete, holistic view of consumer research and behavioral dynamics with the Fortune 500 brand management ecosystem.

The People Platform™ vision was for a purpose-built service sitting at the center of the Experience Economy, driving authentic conversations between individual consumers and companies in near real-time, designed to reveal the most comprehensive understanding of customer and behavior along all points of the customer journey, from in-home to point of sale. The Cloud Construct team is very proud of the opportunity and role it played in partnership to execute and deliver on this vision.

RESULTS

In addition to the success of the product itself, the business was successfully acquired by Stagwell (STGW) Marketing Cloud in October 2022. With this acquisition, The People Platform™ adds mobile and location based data capabilities to the Stagwell evolving data and insights stack, an enterprise of 13,000+ specialists operating in over 34 countries. As an agency partner, Cloud Construct often works with entrepreneurs and startups from the earliest stages, providing the expertise and skillsets required to plan, design, engineer and craft digital product platforms for operation at scale.
